Rainy Day Fun

This mama hates summer heat. This year, we actually had the opportunity for the first time to join a community pool. And what has the weather been doing for the last week? Raining and chilly. Of course.

So, we have had to try to be creative with our days. My kids are at a tough age of needing to be entertained, or else they are fighting, pushing, wrestling, and irritating each other.

As we were sorting through what to do yesterday, we decided to take the boys to the Lancaster Science Factory.

They had so much fun learning about kinetic and potential energy...

And building a perfect rollercoaster...

And discovering the properties of soap and bubbles...

It was such a fun day!

Mama gets pretty tired these days, but the boys were going strong for a couple of hours in this place! Mama took refuge on a bench for a portion of the time... :)

It's amazing how kids crave to learn. To them, it's just playing and exploring. But I can see their brains growing as they play!

What do you do on rainy days with your kids?
